PETS IN THE CLASSROOM GRANT PROGRAM
We are currently accepting applications for the 2018-19 school year. You may apply any time between August 1, 2018, and June 1, 2019. Before you apply, make sure you know your school district’s regulations as to which pets are allowed in the classroom. If you have any questions about the grant program, please use the contact button at the top of this page. Pets in the Classroom is an educational grant program that provides financial support to teachers to purchase and maintain small animals in the classroom. The program was established by the Pet Care Trust to provide children with an opportunity to interact with pets—an experience that can help to shape their lives for years to come.
This site is for NEA members only, and focuses on learning and leadership that comes from student achievement. Grants are available for professional development and their deadlines are February 1, June 1, and October 15.
teacher quality partnership (TQP) grant program

Created by the US Department of Education, the program aims to increase student achievement by enhancing the preparation of prospective teachers and the professional development activities for current teachers. TQP grants will support partnerships between institutions of higher education and high-need school districts. Look for the availability of funds in your state.

the foundation for blended and online learning
The Foundation for Blended and Online Learning has a grant program that will open up in April of 2017. Teacher applicants who work for “an accredited blended or online program in the United States” and demonstrate growth they’ve made in a particular area can be rewarded with small grants.

TINA B. CARVER FUND
The Tina B. Carver Fund was established by her family and colleagues to honor the life and work of Tina B. Carver, longtime member of TESOL and the ESL/EFL community. Grants are available for funding the purchase of student classroom learning materials and/or teacher-related materials (e.g., ancillary materials that can be used in conjunction with textbooks or other instruction materials) to support adult ESL education programs in the United States.
the mccarthy-dressman FOUNDATION
The McCarthey-Dressman Foundation has Teacher Development Grants worth up to $10,000 a year for teachers who wish to try implementing “groundbreaking K-12 classroom instruction” initiatives, which can include technology. Educators can apply begininng January 15.
